Scattering Crows, Carrying Souls

Cannons roar, and plumes of smoke bloom. Shells explode amidst the humanity, throwing soil and souls carelessly about like discarded toys.

Crows cry and scatter across the sky, carrying wailing souls away from this earthly bit of hell.

The roar of cannons. The cry of crows. The wail of souls merge to stun those left living. Those left to face what they have done and what was done to them.

A murder of crows echoing the mayhem below.
